As on almost every Monday, I just watched 'toribia no izumi' on the Japanese programme, a show dedicated to presenting 'absolutely useless knowledge - mattaku yaku ni tatanai mudana chishiki'.

Well, here you go: prairie dogs are not very much liked amongst farmers in the USA because they damage the crop and so an American inventor came up with this (truck-sized) hoover to suck in prairie dogs alive. The little guys are then sent to the American Wildlife Center...
