Today, totally unexpectedly, I got my "How does Geography influence Japan's International Relations" essay back, with a striking 65 per cent.
For those who are not familiar with the system that might not sound like much but let my correct your view: the pass-mark is 40 and hardly anyone ever gets more then 70. That's the facts.
I'm really proud of myself because this was the first serious English essay I ever wrote and I was already among the few best... and that as a non-native speaker... Congratulations!
