Yes!!! Germany made it!
Germany reached the semi finals!! And a great game too! Both teams were very passionate, they were determined to win and so they showed quick and aggressive action all the way through. Argentinia might have had the upper hand in the first half but after the Argentinian goal in the 49th minute the German team thrust forward which resulted in the equaliser from Klose in the 80th and so the game went smoothly into extended time. I'd say that both goals were about equal quality, both first-class headers.
I did find it a bit disappointing that the game was only decided in the penalty shoot out, especially because Germany played quite well in the first half of extended time but in the end it's the result that counts...
Of course you could say 'what if Argentinia's goalie wouldn't have had to be substituted?' but then, life's full of what if's. I say that both teams would have deserved victory, it was just Germany who took it.
To bad that the Argentinians didn't make very good losers and had to pick a fight in the end...

You know, Germany used to be boring. Score a goal and then pull back to protect the own box. They used to be notorious for that and I was pissed off after each such game. After all it is the fans who keep football alive and so the players should at least give them something to watch... But you're right, in the end it's the result that counts. And I definitely want to see an England vs. Germany final!!

i can support any team i like. i also supported england and am i english?
there are many aspects i like about germany and i think that they played really well this time, not as boring as usual, so in my opinion they deserve being among the top three!
and austrian football is crap anyway so i'd never get to support any team in a europe or world cup if i stuck to nationality restrictions there...
