Sunday, sluggish Sunday... :-)

Today - weather not especially nice and still a cold to cure - I went to the sauna again. This time I tried a different one, the Theresienbad in the 12th district of Vienna. Sauna culture here seems to be a tad different as people enter the sauna chamber only a few minutes before Aufguss, not 10 to 15 minutes as usual but then the Aufguss itself is more intense than in any sauna I've ever been to before.
The difference is that this sauna chamber I'm talking about has got four rows of benches instead of the usual three, therefore you can sit higher up and since, as we all know, hot air rises upward and can be found around the upper seating rows, the air in the 4th row is especially hot. Only for experienced sauna fans... ;-)
Anyway, in terms of overall rating I like this sauna better.
Yesterday I visited Aaron, my foster dog, again - we went for an extended walk and we practised "lie down" at which he's getting better and better! I feel so good to be caring for him!

  • Bernie,

To my unenlightened British eyes your seemingly endless frequenting of saunas is a might bizarre!

Naked? In front of strangers? How can that be fun?! It sounds just wrong!!

Anyway, best of luck with the new term and all. We’re still going strong here in novelty land.

    Simon.
