Today my parents came to Vienna to visit me and as the weather was simply perfect and as I wanted them to see Aaron, we went to the dog shelter in the afternoon together. There we had a small trial for Aaron as we didn't know whether he was used to ride in cars but as we opened the boot he jumped in without making a lot of fuss about it. That was great!

Last week the summer term has finally commenced at the University of Vienna and I've had my first lectures and seminars. Of course I've been a little bit anxious before each of them since I didn't know any of the lectures and also didn't have too much of an idea what to expect but it all went okay and I think that I'm off quite well as I find most of the lecturers rather nice.
Today - weather not especially nice and still a cold to cure - I went to the sauna again. This time I tried a different one, the Theresienbad in the 12th district of Vienna. Sauna culture here seems to be a tad different as people enter the sauna chamber only a few minutes before Aufguss, not 10 to 15 minutes as usual but then the Aufguss itself is more intense than in any sauna I've ever been to before.
